Duncan was a left-back who joined Barrow in October 1937. A grocer before becoming a professional footballer, he was a solidly built defender who tackled with great determination and distributed the ball well out of defence.

Please note I am the above Duncan Urquhart's only son, I have a scrapbook, his Scotland jersey and cap. Whoever posted on 12/07/2012 is somehow deluded, Also my father was not born in Newton Stewart but in Wardlaw Street in Gorgie. Sorry to other posters but I'm afraid your are also not related.
