Tommy McCabe was a left-half who joined the club in 1944. In season 1946/47 he sustained an injury at work which curtailed his progress, and when he came back he found it difficult to establish himself in the team. Went out on loan to Hamilton Academicals in 1948/49 before moving to Falkirk. He finished his career at Stirling Albion.
