Hi Can you amend my Uncles nationality from Irish to Scottish as he was born in Newbridge.

Thanks

Hi Donna

Thanks for getting in touch - I can't for the life of me remember why I listed your uncle as Irish. Do you happen to have a date of birth for him? I've been unable to find one.

Pat, I think, was later a teacher and the family lived next door to us for a while in Ratho Station. He also ran the local Littlewoods Pools for the village.

I had afternoon tea with Pat & Eileen, who were on a coach trip holiday with John & Isobel Macdonald, in Betty's tearoom in Harrogate earlier today. What a lovely couple and a very interesting man.

Pat Hughes joined the club from Whitburn Juniors , on his 17th birthday in the Spring of 1955. At Holy Cross Academy he had been athletics champion and had also played for United Schools and Seafield United. Whilst at Easter Road he was a trainee mine manager at Easton Colliery. In April 1964 he was given a free transfer and joined Forfar Athletic.
