Simon Waldie was signed from Highland League football in 1945. A powerful centre-half, he stayed with Hibs for five years. Essentially, however, he was reserve to Peter Aird and Hugh Howie so openings in the first-team were severely limited. Joined QOS in 1950 and was at Palmerston Park for almost four years before being freed.

Also played for Ross County. Latterly, worked with British Rail.
