2 comments so far (post your own)Willie Bruce, born in Broxburn , joined the club in 1948. He was a pig-farmer who drifted into football almost by accident rather than by design. Indeed, the club handbook said - "Works six and a half days a week and plays for Hibs the other half !" However, with Tommy Younger and Jimmy Kerr on the books it was difficult to forge a career at Easter Road and he drifted out of the game.
