Billy Simpson joined the club in 1963. A full-back, he was effectively understudy to Bobby Duncan and, later, Chris Shevlane. After seven seasons at Easter Road he moved to Falkirk in 1970.

Also, played for Albion Rovers, Alloa Athletic & Cowdenbeath.
