Peter Marinello was transferred to Arsenal for £100,000 in January 1970.

Hailed as the 'next George Best' he scored on his debut in the Football League on 10/01/1970 Vs Manchester United (A 1-2).

Could not establish himself at Highbury and after 51 appearances and 5 goals he joined Portsmouth in 1973. Also played for Motherwell and Hearts.
