5 comments so far (post your own)Willie Paterson joined the club in 1975, after becoming homesick at Burnley. The highlight of his time at Easter Road would probably be his great header in the 'derby' game on 30/10/1976 (H 1-1). In March 1979 he joined Falkirk.
Finished his career with Kirkintilloch Rob Roy.

Saw Willie play against Celtic turning Danny McGrain inside out , wonder why he never bacame a first team regular.

Saw him v m'well in '76, he was superb,thought he would be a star,great skill

Saw him on debut v my team m'well. He was outstanding, great ball skills, was congratulated by all hibee players. Though he would be a star.
