Torrance Gillick put Rangers ahead with a first time shot from Caskie's cross. Hibs equalised when Aitkenhead fired home from Milne's pass after a brilliant left-wing move. A full-blooded drive from Jimmy Duncanson - again from a Caskie cross - restored Rangers' lead. Just before the finish Duncanson got his second when put through by Waddell.

Referee :- J.M. Martin, Blairgowrie.
