The club was interested in signing him on a permanent basis after the War ended but did not match Everton's valuation of him and he and Torry Gillick signed for Rangers in a double transfer deal in November 1945.Jimmy Caskie died in Glasgow on 19/5/1977

Played for Ashfield Juniors. Based at Saracen Park in Possilpark Glasgow prior to signing for St Johnstone in 1933
