Helped me to get my drinking under control as I was still too bevyied to take it all in! Rememberc calling in on my pall Pete on the way home & getting him out of bed to tell him--- he didn't beleve believe me 'til another mate joined us to confirm the score!
Each tarts' game I still feel they're gonna put 8 past them----- GGTTH

After the game I walked back to my home in Great Junction Street and my old man asked me the score, I told him we had won SEVEN-NIL and he did not believe me until we watched the highlights on the TV. One of the best day of my life.

Pat Stanton really should have been awarded that goal but wee Jimmy was just making sure in case the Jambo's started to make a comeback at 0-6!!

Played for Crossroads boys club at the time and Roy Kay (jambo full back in THE game) was one of my coaches. Monday night training up at Greyfriars and he took pelters from us all night. Hehehe
GGTTH. RIP Eddie.

Great game and one of the best Hibs displays for sure but it really should have been 10 we slackened off because it was new Year and we felt a bit sorry for them.
