John Brownlie was the victim of an 'over-the-top' tackle by their left-back, Ian Printy, and was stretchered off with a broken right leg. Hibs eventually got the winner in the 89th minute, - Gordon heading in Hamilton's cross.

The end of an era, Turnbulls Tornados were never the same, was this not the game were Alex Edwards also got sent off and suspended for the then ridicules' term of 10 games SFA have never changed
