Leslie Skene was an excellent goalkeeper who was noted for his anticipation, bravery and coolness when under fire. Awarded an MB in 1911 from Edinburgh University, he combined his medical career with being a professional footballer. Awarded the Military Cross during the First World War. Also, capped Vs Wales in March 1904.
