Des Fox joined the club in 1955. His early career was somewhat disrupted by national service. He was stationed at one point in Cyprus and also in Dover where he played for Dover Town. Moved to Raith Rovers in February 1960, then finished his career with Winsford United in the Cheshire League.

Des Fox was my uncle, my dad's oldest brother, originally from Gartcosh, then lived in Cardowan, Stepps, Glasgow. RIP uncle Dezzy.

Haha, how's it goin' Maurice. :). He was my Great Uncle and my sponsor at my first communion. Still missed. I seem to remember him showing me his two Scotland caps. One was against Spain I think, and the other perhaps Wales? Can't really remember.

My dad tells me he was friends with a Des Fox during his working his working days at Jack Sakol. Can you tell me if this your uncle worked in Fielden St Glasgow.
