Gerry Adair could not establish himself, ahead of Derek Spalding, in Hibs' backline and in common with others such as Kenny Davidson, Lawrence Dunn, Dennis Nelson, Brian Ross, John Salton and Hugh Whyte of the 1970s squad moved to East End Park.

Other clubs played for included Meadowbank Thistle, Cowdenbeath and Armadale Thistle.
