can anyone confirm the comment about j adams signing from man city as i have a record that he played for clyde in the 1904/05 season

Looking at the records I can see - I think John Adams went from Clyde to Manchester City to Hibernian. I don't know where he went after Hibs though

There's an excellent resource which details all scottish pre war players by John Litster - the links section on the left should take you there. The disk says he went from Clyde to Man City to Hibs. I've just looked at a Man City stat site that says he never played. I suspect he was registered though.
