Peter Aird, a centre-half, signed in 1943. In 1946 he helped the club reach the 'Victory Cup' Final, which sadly ended in defeat to Rangers. He was a regular in the immediate post-war era and formed a formidable partnership with Willie Finnegan and Sammy Kean.

Sold to East Fife in January 1951. Then moved to Llanelly in July 1954 where he finished his career.

After playing he worked as a manager for Tay Spinners and also in Rosyth Dockyard.

Lawrie Reilly used to loathe playing him when he moved to East Fife because he was so difficult to get past, thanks to his amazing recovery speed in the tackle.
