Alex Cropley hit the bar in the first-half. Hibs then missed chances through Joe Baker and Kenny Davidson within five minutes of the restart and these were to prove costly. In the end it was Bobby Wilson, the Dundee right-back, who scored the winner.

Black replaced Stanton.

Referee :- T. Marshall, Glasgow.
