Bobby Kinloch scored the only goal after 13 minutes. Jim Easton was outstanding, and coped admirably with the Dundee forwards - Alan Cousin and Alan Gilzean. John Fraser sustained a head wound courtesy of Hugh Robertson, Dundee's winger, who caught him with an elbow.

Referee :- H. Phillips, Wishaw.
