My first Hibs game. All I can remember was that the sun was shining (wasn't it always?)and I was sitting on a crush barrier in the Cave with my brother holding on to me.

Pat Stanton's header gave Hibs a 1-0 lead at the break. Pat was denied a second goal as ex-Hib Bobby Duncan punched another header off the line, - Jimmy put away the penalty to secure the points. Billy McPhee scored for East Fife.

Eric Stevenson was the unused substitute.

Referee :- A. Paterson, East Kilbride.
