In a match played in boiling heat Vitoria Guimaraes drew level on aggregate with goals from Goncalves and Ademir. Hibs' goal came on 75 minutes when Johnny Graham headed in a Joe McBride free-kick.
Davidson and Blair replaced Hamilton and McBride respectively.
