Jim Herriot's unbroken run of 56 games came to an end, due to an ankle injury sustained in training, and Bobby Robertson made his debut. Queen's Park made a game of it though - scoring through Eddie Hunter and Ally Scott.

O'Rourke replaced Hazel.

Eddie Turnbull said - "Queen's Park showed that teams from the lower grade can provide tough opposition."

Referee :- A.F. MacDonald, Livingstone.
