John Maconnachie was a former Hibs captain of the early 1900's.

Other info :- won League Championship with Everton in season 1914/15.

John Maconnachie was a cool and polished defender, and immediately the fans knew they had got a class act. Remembered at Goodison Park as one of the best defenders ever to wear the blue of Everton. A confident footballer, he tended to play his way out of trouble rather than just clear his lines.

Also, had spells at Swindon Town and Barrow.
