Gordon Durie, aka "Jukebox", joined the club in 1984. A magnificent striker who was powerful, direct, strong in the air and an astute user of the ball. Clearly his talent did not go unnoticed and, regrettably, in May 1986 he was sold to Chelsea for £381,000 - a record fee at the time for both clubs.

Also played for Tottenham Hotspur, Rangers and Heart of Midlothian.
