John Blackley, aka "Sloop", represented Scotland at the 1974 World Cup in West Germany, (Vs Zaire ); - Eric Schaedler was also in the squad but did not play. (edited by moderator)

John Blackley was sent off in the game Vs Rangers on 24/03/1973 in Scottish League (A 0-1).

"Sloop" apparently had a pre-match ritual whereby he came last out of the tunnel and kicked the ball into the net.
