Roy Barry was a short-term signing who did a good job for Hibs. A powerful pivot he has been described by Sir Alex Ferguson as the hardest player he has ever faced. For sure, Roy played it for keeps and gave no quarter to anybody.

Also had spells at Hearts and Coventry City.

Joined East Fife as player-manager in October 1976.

Might be worth mentioning that he captained Dunfermline to the Scottish Cup in 1968 ?

Re above :- apologies for the oversight.

Roy did indeed captain Dunfermline Athletic to the Scottish Cup in 1968, when they beat Hearts 3-1.

His career record is therefore -

Hearts (1961-66),
Dunfermline Athletic (1966-69),
Coventry City (1969-73),
Crystal Palace (1973-75),
Hibs (1975-76),
East Fife (1976-78).
