Andy Aitken was signed in 1956, while carrying out his national service. A classy player but lacked the confidence to stamp his authority in the team. In the 1958 Scottish Cup Final he was injured early on which, arguably, cost Hibs the game.

Also had spells at Falkirk, Raith Rovers and Gala Fairydean.

Andy and played for kosb regiment . He was a fantastic footballer and had tremendous speed . Had he not been injured in cup final 1958 against Clyde would have been hibs legend. He was so determined to win the Scottish cup. He and joe baker were very quick god bless them both.
